FAQs Related to VCI-approved Veterinary Colleges

Here are 5 sample FAQs related to VCI-approved veterinary colleges:

1.Is it right to take BVSC admission in veterinary colleges not approved by the Veterinary Council of India(VCI)?

Ans: No, never take BVSc admission in veterinary colleges that do not have VCI approval. The degree may not be valid or recognized. Always verify VCI approval before taking admission.

2.Is NEET mandatory for BVSc courses?

Ans: As per VCI regulations, attending the NEET exam is mandatory for BVSc admissions. Studying BVSc without attending the NEET is against VCI regulations and can lead to course disapproval issues. But some private universities admit students after conducting an entrance test.

3.What is the difference between VCI temporary and permanent affiliation?

Ans: Colleges with temporary affiliations need VCI approval every year to start the BVSc program. The VCI team will inspect the college; unless satisfied, the conditional approval may be cancelled. Colleges with VCI permanent approval do not require that. So, it is always better to be admitted to colleges with permanent VCI affiliation status.

4. Is there any management quota for BVSc admission?

Ans: Yes. Direct admission is possible in private veterinary colleges under management quota.
